Ritual sauna in Satavi homestead: a journey to peace, renewal and harmony

The sauna is not only a place to maintain body cleanliness, but also a deep practice of meditation, purification and spiritual connection. In ancient times, people perceived the sauna as a sacred place – as a mediator between man and nature. This tradition, which helps not only to relax, but also to restore inner balance, feel nature’s silent invitation and improve physical well-being, has survived to this day.
In our sauna you have the opportunity to experience it.

Course of the sauna and services

Preparing

Before the start of the main sauna procedure, you will be treated to a short introduction to the upcoming sauna ritual and a meditative calm. During the first part, you will be able to focus on yourself, breathe consciously, unite your thoughts and body into a common whole. This helps to relax and prepare for the further stages of the Sauna.

Aromatherapy and natural elements

In the sauna we use natural mixtures of plants, herbs and essential oils, honey and various salts, which enhance the feeling of peace and harmony and can help strengthen health. Aromatherapy helps to regulate emotions, allows you to focus and feel a deeper connection with nature.

Body scrub

Various salts, organic honey and chopped chestnuts, Turkish Kese glove and a lot of Water are used to rejuvenate the skin.

Steam magic and vaping

Natural brooms made of birch, oak, linden, and sometimes juniper and fir are used. Vanity is a deep vibro-acoustic process, during which emotional and physical tensions are released, and the flow of energy in the body is activated. Warmth, steam, natural scents and broom massage relax the muscles, improve blood circulation and clear the mind.

Water refreshment

Satavi Sauna and Water are indistinguishable!
We use a lot of Water during all the rituals of the Bathhouse. Water simply envelops the body with its warmth, which enhances relaxation and a sense of security.
After hot steam and if necessary, a cooler water procedure awaits you: a cold water drain, a shower or a hot tub of cold water. This contrast activates the body, improves blood circulation and helps us feel, as our guests say, “as if we are newly born”.

Sauna meditation and refreshment

After the main procedures, guests are invited to close their eyes, lie down and immerse themselves in silence, the sounds of nature or light meditation. When the body relaxes and the mind calms down, the peace and fullness of the Sauna is felt.

Meditative sounds

In the sauna, singing bowls, a small gong, various bells, bamboo sticks and other intuitive instruments are sometimes used. It strengthens and facilitates relaxation, facilitates the journey to yourself.

How to prepare for the sauna ritual?

1. Bring a light robe, rubber slippers, 2 cotton towels;
2. Wear comfortable, preferably natural fabric (cotton or linen clothes) in the steamer;

The “Gray” Sauna is a sauna with a magazine of periodically fired fireclay and ancient German red clay bricks and jade stones.
The fire in our sauna travels directly through the stones, so you will feel the pleasant smell of wood characteristic of such a sauna.
The sauna is prepared for the procedures around 6-7 a.m., and during the procedures it is no longer heated, which allows you to enjoy gentle warmth and soft, fine-dispersion steam.
